民泊について。　Topic about Mimpaku(private host family)

久しぶりの投稿です。寒くなってきて少し発信力が低下しておりました。

今年の民泊は先日すべての受け入れが終了しました。次は来年の春頃ですかね！

春の中学生にはじまり、アメリカ人、高校生、ジャマイカ人、セントビンセントおよびグレナディーン諸島の方、ペルー人、アイドルの卵の高校生といった
かなりバリエーションに富んだ人たちと交流をしてきました。

それぞれ良い出会いで、いまだにアメリカ人の方とはメッセージのやりとりが続いております。
お互いの日常でこんなことがあったよ。といった軽いつながりですが、それなりに話題は続き楽しく
やりとりができています。

先日のジャマイカ人、セントビンセントおよびグレナディーン諸島の方、ペルー人の方々はJICAの職員で、防災について学んでいったそうです。
とにかくお国柄か皆さん陽気な感じで爆音でレゲエを流し踊っていたようです笑
そして髪型がなんとも特徴的でした。なんと6時間もかかるそうです！！ぼくなんかカットからシャンプー、乾燥までで1時間かかりませんからね。

ラスト民泊は東京にある東京スクールオブミュージック＆ダンス専門学校の生徒さんでした。

明るい女の子たちで子どもたちもいつも通り親しんで遊んでもらっていました。
東京の学生さんだったので田舎の楽しみも。。。ということで川辺に連れていき屋外で炭で火を焚き、カレー作りをしました。
最後は残った火でマシュマロを焼いて食べました。
鮭の遡上もたまたま一匹見れたのでみんな感動していました。

来年はどんな人たちと交流できるか今から楽しみです！

It has been a little while since I wrote my last blog.

We have recently finished accepting Mimpaku (private host family ) program visitors for this year.  We will restart receiving students in the spring 2019.

We have interacted with a variety of people since this spring: who are junior or senior high school students; Americans, Jamaicans, people from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Peruvians and “future idols”.

Every encounter was a precious moment to us, and we have been keeping in touch with the  Americans.

We enjoy friendly talks about our daily lives, Japanese traditional ceremonies, and our children.

The visitors from Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Peru are JICA staff.  They came here to learn about disaster prevention.

They were very cheerful, dancing to loud reggae music.

They had very distinctive hair styles.  It takes about 6 hours to set their hair!  My hair cut, along with shampoo and dry process, takes less than an hour!

The last Mimpaku was by the female student of a music & dance school.

They were cheerful and friendly with our children, who had a really good time.

They live an urban life in Tokyo, looking forward to Rikuzentakata’s local life, so we took them to the river side and cooked curry.  It was so tasty!

At the end of the fire, we baked marshmallows.

Amazingly, we happened to see a salmon swimming up in the river!

We are already looking forward to seeing the people coming in the next season!
