著名な歯科技工士さんが来訪。 Famous dental technicians came to Rikuzentakata.

こんにちは。副院長の重之です。
西日本の豪雨、大型台風による土砂崩れなどの自然災害に続き、北海道での大地震。
とても心配です。
昨今の自然災害により被害を受けられました皆様に
心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
今週は涼しくて過ごしやすい日が続いていますね。
週末に東京で歯科技工士さんとして働いているお二人が陸前高田に来てくださいました。
なんで来たか？技工物を届けるためと陸前高田に来てみたかったから。
我々としては著明な二人の歯科技工士さんが陸前高田まで来てくれるチャンスは少ないため
歯科マテリアルに関してレクチャーしてもらうことにしました。
お1人は岡部さん。ドイツで歯科技工士として働いた経験のある方です。セラミックの歯を作ることを専門としており当院では
インプラントの被せ物をお願いしています。個人で開業されているためとても親切で丁寧な対応をしてくださいます。
もちろん技工物の精度も素晴らしいです。
もう一方は鈴木さん。鈴木さんは入れ歯を専門とした歯科技工士さんです。陸前高田やこの気仙地区は入れ歯の患者さんは多く
いろいろなバリエーションがあり、我々歯科医師も日々より良い義歯を目指して頑張っています。
当院に在籍している歯科技工士さんに専門的なアドバイスをしていただき明日からの診療に役立ててもらいたいです。
夜は近場の居酒屋の参吉さんへ。
陸前高田の海鮮類を堪能していただきました。話の内容は終始歯科ネタ。。。
かなりマニアックなトークが交わされました。

This week the weather has been very nice and cool here.
Last weekend, two dental technicians (DTs), who work in Tokyo, came to Rikuzen-Takata.
The came to deliver new dental products to us, and they wanted to visit our town!
It was so rare an opportunity for the two well-known dental technicians to visit here that
I asked them to give a lecture to our staff about the latest dental materials.
One of them is DT. Okabe, who used to work in Germany. He is an expert in making ceramic teeth.
We order him coverings for dental implant treatment. He is a private practitioner,
whose work is always very kind and polite. Of course, his products are excellent!
The other is DT. Suzuki, specialist in denture works.
In Rikuzen-Takata and surrounding areas, a lot of patients wear dentures.
As there are various types of dentures, we dentists are doing our best to prepare better ones.
They gave precious clinical advice to the dental technicians at our clinic.
At night, we went out to izakaya (or Japanese local pub house) called Sankichi,
which is located near our clinic. While enjoying various kinds of sea food in season,
we talked about dentistry the whole time. Single-mindedly!!
