交流人口増加にむけて

こんにちは。副院長の重之です。
今日は歯科医師でもできる交流人口増加について記事を書きたいとおもいます。

吉田歯科医院は日本大学歯学部附属病院の研修歯科医を受け入れることができる協力型施設です。
昨年研修歯科医の若い先生方と面談をしてマッチングをしましたが、皆さんとご縁はなくミスマッチングでした。

せっかく得た機会なのでできれば若い歯科医師に陸前高田まで来てもらい、復興状況や地元の人々と接してもらいながら
歯科診療の技術を学んでいってもらえたらなーと考えていました。

研修歯科医は一般歯科医院で8か月研修をするプログラムになっているようです。
8か月陸前高田にいるわけですからなかなか濃厚な生活ができるような気がします。

しかし、こちらから何もアピールしなければ研修歯科医たちは自分の先輩が行っていた研修先などへ流れてしまいます。
陸前高田のような都会から離れたところに、しかも実績のないところへ行くには勇気がいります。
だから仕方ないとは思いつつもあきらめきれず、前回の面談で知り合った岩手県出身の先生に連絡をとり
見学に来ていただきました。

吉田歯科医院は田舎の歯医者ですが、診療機器は都会の一流歯科医院と同等のものを準備しています。
もちろん器機が優秀でも扱う人間がちゃんと使いこなせないと意味がないので、私が様々なセミナーなどへ参加し
研鑽を積み実績を伸ばしています。
それなりに恵まれた診療室で研修できることを知ってもらいました。

また診療室外での講話活動、啓発活動なども合わせて伝えて歯科医師としての地域社会における役割についても
簡単にお伝えしました。

実際土曜日の半日しか見学はできませんでしたが、後輩に「研修するならここもいいよ！おすすめだよ！！」と言ってもらえるように
案内ができたのではないかと思います。

研修歯科医は毎年生まれます。だれか一人でも来てくれればここから先数年陸前高田に訪れる歯科医師が増えていくかもしれません。
それを期待して今後も仕事に勉強に社会貢献に励んでいきます！！

 

Hi　I’m Shige, vice director of YDC (Yoshida Dental Clinic).

Today, I would like to write  an article  about increasing the number of people we interact with.

Yoshida Dental Clinic is a cooperated training center for dental residents of Nihon University School of Dentistry Hospital.

Last year, I had an interview with young dental residents, but I had no relation to them. It was a case of “mismatching.”

As I had an opportunity to meet young dental residents, I hoped they would come to Rikuzentakata
to know situations of recovery, while learning dental treatment technics interacting with local patients.

Residents in general receive training practice for eight months.

During the eight months, they are likely to know about the local lives here.

However, unless we appeal to those residents, they will surely choose to go to the places where their seniors have .

I think  courage is needed to go to a rural place like Rikuzen-takaka, where no one has been yet.

Even though I understood the difficulty, I had a young dentist visit our town, whom I had kept in touch with since the previous meeting.

YDC is just a rural dental office, but we have the latest facilities equal to those at the best urban dental clinics.

Of course, it would be meaningless if you can not use the instruments well, so I try to find every chance to take parts in various seminars to learn about the use.

In the interview, I had the resident know that they could practice in favorable conditions.

I also told him about the roles of a dentist in the local community, which are through lectures and enlightenment activities outside of the office.

He saw my clinic only in the morning , but I think he was so impressed that he can appeal to his colleagues , saying, “I recommend YDC!”.

There are new residents year by year.  If only one of them would visit Rikuzen-takata, there might be more of them to do so.

Hoping that. I will try to study harder and strive to contributeto society.
